On February 24th the workshop on local self-government "Eurasia Local Government Finance" took place in the framework of project implementation "Global observatory on decentralization and local democracy". "United cities and local governments"world organization was an organizer of the workshop.
On the February 20th the Association of municipalities of the KR distributed regular copies of the magazine "Municipal reporter" and "Collection of normative and legal acts for local self-government bodies' officers» (CNL) to the heads of local self-government bodies.
Today, February 18, three-day teaching- seminar for heads of rural districts, villages and cities of rayon importance of the Kyrgyz Republic started in Russian drama theatre named after Ch.Aytmatov.
For a short period of time since December 2009 till January 2010 Jogorku Kenesh has added 2 functions in the list of functions of local self-government bodies. There are 2 functions on rendering of services in social sphere under the consideration.

On November 23-24 the Association of municipalities of the KR met with the heads of financial departments of rural districts of Sokuluk and Panfilov rayons of Chui oblast.
